Absence & leave
- a) If a pupil is absent due to illness, the Headmistress of the school must be informed of it.
- b) If the absence is likely to last more then one day at least on the second day, a leave letter in the prescribed form as given at the end of this diary be sent to the Headmistress. If this is not done he or she will be marked absent untl the leave letter is received.
N.B : No leave is granted towards the end of a term except in the case of serious sickness. The leave letter from the guardian is be accompained with a Medical Certificate.
- a) A pupil who is absent for consecutive working days during the year without sanction of leave, will be removed from the rolls.
b) A pupil who is absent without sanction of leave for five consecutive working days from the date of re-opening of the school, will be removed from the rolls on the sixth working day after the re-opening. He or she can be readmitted at the discretion of the Headmistress. In that case admission fee and arrears if any are to be paid.
10.As regular and punctual attendance is a matter of great importance both for the progress of studies of the pupils and for the formation of their character parents guardians and teachers should see that their children attend the school regularly and punctually.
PROMOTIONS
A pass in the third terminal exam alone will not entire a pupil for promotion. The total work of a pupil during the whole year as well as the average of the three terminal examinations and her/his conduct and attendance will also be considered for deciding the promotion. A pupil has to put in 80% of the total attendance.
